Kazuko Thornton, East Lansing's much-admired and now retired school administrator, has donated many of her creations to Solar Circle to raise funds for solar cookers. Pottery will be on sale at the Michigan State University Museum Folk Festival in East Lansing on August 14 and 1, 2010

Kazuko is an enthusiastic potter: "I love all the processes of pottery making, throwing, trimming, altering, glazing and firing. My pottery is both wheel thrown and hand built. I enjoy experimenting with different forms and a variety of functional objects."
