In 2025, we distributed 1750 solar lights in remote villages in southern Tanzania. The villages are not connected to the electric grid, so the lamps were sought after. We distributed the lanterns through a barter system. Volunteers built 120 houses for poor, elderly and disabled people and were rewarded with a solar lantern. Near Tanzania’s largest city, we began construction of a dining hall at our school in Buyuni. The school has about 300 students.
